Excursion sites:
- Amboseli National Park – Approximately 4 hours’ drive (about 215 km) from Nairobi.
- Lake Nakuru & Naivasha – 2.5 to 3 hours’ drive (Lake Nakuru: ~160 km; Naivasha: ~90 km).
- Nairobi Day Tour – Local attractions within Nairobi with minimal travel time.
For the sites of literary and artistic significance, here's an overview of their distances from the conference location:
- Kenya National Archives – ~15-minute walk (~1.2 km)
- Nairobi Gallery – ~10-minute walk (~800 m)
- McMillan Memorial Library – ~15-minute walk (~1.5 km)
